Santiago Leo Coriz is a famous Kewa Silversmith, active since the 1930’s.  He studied with Ambrose Roanhorse at the Santa Fe Indian School 1931-1932.  An Award Winner, he was the patriarch of a family of Silversmiths, including his Grandson Anthony Lovato.  Leo was noted for using only primitive tools throughout his career.  This ring is a true statement piece. 

 

The story is in the weight of 37 grams being well over an ounce of sterling silver.
