Early in her career she worked for Sigfrido Pineda and Enrique Ledesma, later owned shops in Puerto Vallarta. She was trained at Parsons School of design in Paris  ( Hougart Mexican Silver Trade and Hallmarks, Bille Hougart, 2006). This piece is reflective of that training.  I like French  Jewelry, because is often "strong and dramatic"- this piece fits that description. The Eagle mark and makers mark- RIC (both hard to read) establish a  date range of 1955 to 1980. I have never seen another like it.  Tip to Tip 6 inches, plus 1 3/16 gap, maximum interior dimension, 2 3/8 inch, width 1 1/2 inch. Wt 115 grams. Care should be used in adjusting the gap, because of the weight, it can easily come off.  The gap is easily adjusted professionally, but in the wrong hands it can be a problem.
